Pay It Forward !

I have always liked that Movie, Pay It Forward... For those who haven't seen it, it is about a little boy who creates as a school homework a project, called Pay it Forward... his project is about doing 3 favors to 3 different people, asking each one of them to do another 3 favors to 3 different people, and so on...

Helping whose less unfortunate in life has always been a blessing.... you are not only helping the person in-front of you, because you are also helping yourself....

This Year at STG Auto Group, we have decided to Pay it Forward to the community, but without asking anyone to do anything! Just paying back, enjoying and having loads of fun with the kids!

In cooperation with A For Kids Foundation, Auto trader and Chris Carter Family we were able to host 100 kid at our dealership this year to give out Christmas gifts.. the event was just magical, everyone was super happy!! Even Santa show up!

On that day, all of us were proud of ourselves..... Because we gave something back... expecting no returns..

Vin Diesel Reveals 'Fast and Furious 7' Details, Paul Walker Scene

Fast and Furious 7 will arrive in theaters on April 10, 2015, actor Vin Diesel announced on Facebook. Filming for the movie, which was originally slated to premiere in July 2014, was recently put on hold indefinitely after Paul Walker died in a car crash on Nov. 30.
Walker plays undercover agent Brian O' Conner in the Fast and Furious films, and on Sunday night, co-star Diesel posted a photo of their final scene together on his Facebook page, ending his post with "P.S. He'd want you to know first…"
The Fast and Furious films have earned $2.3 billion worldwide since 2001.
Following the accident, Universal Pictures scrambled to decide the franchise's future in the wake of Walker's death. The studio had started filming the Fast and Furious 7 in September, but production went on hiatus for the holidays when Walker died after the red 2005 Porsche Carrera GT he and driver Roger Rodas — a friend and owner of car-customization shop Always Evolving — were riding in crashed and caught fire in Santa Clarita, Calif. Officials said speed was a factor in Walker's accident.
The Fast and Furious franchise celebrated Walker's life with an emotional YouTube video set to Diddy and Skylar Grey's "Coming Home.

Top 10 Most Popular Languages on Twitter!

As people living in the United States of America, we usually tend to think that the English language rules the WORLD! well... IT DOES! Have you ever traveled anywhere where they couldn't speak a word of English, very unlikely for that to happen!

So I was reading this article today, and i thought it is really interesting to know such a fact about Twitter, which is one of the most leading social platform in the world right now!

the English language is the top language used on Twitter, which comes in a surprise considering that English is not the mother tongue language of the company's founders.
Over one-third (34%) of all tweets were in English in September, with 16% Japanese is the second most popular language on the micro-blogging network, while Spanish clocks in at third place with 12% !
If you actually think about it, more than 50% of the online world can communicate with each other with only 3 languages!! I wonder if we can do the same in real life?? #just_wondering

Yes, the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette is the Automobile of the Year!!!!

Corvette engineers were charged with developing a car that would exceed expectations of the Corvette faithful, one that would also be the greatest performance car for the dollar on the planet. Oh, and they were also told to make sure it's good enough to compete around the world. The team succeeded!!!!

Yes, the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette is the Automobile of the Year. No, this was not a foregone
conclusion. The Corvette may have a special place in the American automotive pantheon, but not every new Corvette has been a big deal. it starts with a new frame. Switching from steel to aluminum (previously only Z06 and ZR1 models used an aluminum frame), the C7's frame structure is nearly 100 pounds lighter than the C6's and considerably stiffer. The front and rear cradles -- both aluminum -- are also lighter and stiffer. The lift-off top remains, but it's carbon fiber (as is the hood). The V-8's 6.2-liter displacement is the same as before, but this is an all-new engine, backed by a new seven-speed manual transmission!Even in a Corvette, you're not always stomping on the gas, and this powertrain is just as rewarding in less aggressive driving. The new, seven-speed manual features creamy clutch action and a slick shifter. Without turbochargers to manage, the V-8's throttle response is precisely predictable, and the long-travel accelerator pedal lets you easily mete out the exact amount of power. Despite the normally aspirated engine's large displacement and potent output, a tall top gear and the ability to run on four cylinders (in Eco mode) help this muscular beast post EPA numbers that you won't be ashamed to mention in polite company: 17/29 mpg city/highway for the manual, 16/28 mpg for the automaticThe Corvette has long been a tremendous performance value wrapped in an all-American package. Now, however, with newfound sophistication and user-friendliness, the C7 should melt the barriers that have kept away so many driving enthusiasts. This is not just a car for the Corvette faithful but instead spreads the gospel to a new, wider audience. The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is a world-class car with no apologies to make, an expression of greatness from a town and a car company that have been dismissed as losers. It is also the Automobile of the Year.

The Fast and the Furious Story

For all cars & Speed lovers, The Fast and the Furious movie, first released in 2001, was such an impressive movie! for those who never saw the movie, The Fast and the Furious is an action movie, centered on illegal Street racing...

The first part which was released in 2001, was such a hug success, encouraged the crew to create a sequel!
since 2001 to 2013, already 5 other movies were released....
The fast and the Furious part 7 was to follow during the summer of 2014, but the sudden and unfortunate death of "Paul Walker" paused all the plans for the movie, and so far no new date has been released!

Walker was born in  1973 and brought up in Los Angeles, where as a child he acted in commercials, earning his first recurring TV credit in 1985, in the series Highway to Heaven. In his twenties, he took supporting roles in several teen films such as Varsity Blues and She’s All That. In 2000, on the set of The Skulls (2000), he met director Rob Cohen, who the following year cast him in The Fast and The Furious, as Brian O’Conner, an undercover cop who infiltrates a car racing gang led by Diesel’s character, Dom Toretto.

Walker was a passenger in the 2005 Porsche Carrera GT owned and driven by his friend Roger Rodas, who was also killed when the car crashed and burst into flames at around 3.30pm on Saturday. Rodas, 38, was the CEO of Always Evolving, a car customisation shop in Santa Clarita, reportedly co-owned by Walker. The pair were taking part in an event organised by Walker’s charity, Reach Out Worldwide, in support of the Philippines typhoon relief effort.

The Christmas tree, How it all started!

A Christmas tree is a decorated tree, usually an evergreen Conifer such as Spruce, Pine Or Fir traditionally associated with the celebration of Christmas.
The tree was traditionally decorated with edibles such as apples, nuts or dates. In the 18th century, it began to be illuminated by candles. Today, there are a wide variety of Traditional ornaments, such as garland, tinsel, and Candy Canes. An angel or star may be placed at the top of the tree to represent the host of angels or the star of Bethlehem  from the Navitiy.
The custom of the Christmas tree developed in Early modern Germany with predecessors that can be traced to the 16th and possibly the 15th century, in which "devout Christians brought decorated trees into their homes". It acquired popularity beyond Germany during the second half of the 19th century.
Today, you already spot Christmas decorations and trees straight after Halloween is over! It has become a tradition in every house, and every business to have a tree.
Families set time to decorate the tree together, listen to Christmas carols, and drink hot chocolate.....
This year at STG Auto Group, we are all gathered together around our BIG BIG tree, and decorating it together as one big FAMILY!

Happy Christmas everyone....
STG Family.

And they Say Women Can't Drive! :)

Mary Anderson! Allow me to introduce to you today, the inventor of a very small, yet very important part of all cars we are driving today, the Windshield wipers!!Mary Anderson must have been quite a gal back in 1903. Women weren't even voting then. They were still in long dresses, and did what was expected of them. After all, the men in their lives had long ago decided women were put on this planet for making babies, doing laundry, and all the rest. But Mary Anderson, not to be confused with a labor organizer of the same name but rather a southern Alabama belle, showed them she had the moxie to do great things. When on trips to New York City, Mary often traveled by streetcar. That's where she noticed how drivers would often get out of their seats to wipe the windshield so they could see better. That action set Mary's inquisitive mind afire. If drivers had to wipe dust off the windows on normal days, they would have lots of window clearing to do when it rained or snowed. This bothered Mary. There had to be a better way, and she set about finding it. After making many preliminary designs, she settled on a manually operated lever installed inside the streetcar, a lever that, when pulled, would swing an arm over the windshield and -- swoosh -- allow the driver to see again! It would benefit not only motormen, but ordinary drivers, too. Navigating through the streets of New York City in rain and snow would be forever changed. Mary sketched out a final diagram of her new invention, explaining how it worked and how much time it would save drivers. Her windshield wipers had rubber blades attached to a spring-loaded arm. When the lever was pulled, the blades swung neatly across the windshield and returned to their original position. Of course, the men who had made fun of her invention when she first thought of it stopped laughing when she was granted a patent for her wiper design in 1905. Prior to that, others -- men -- had tried to solve the wiper problem without success. Not only did they think the swooshing back and forth would distract drivers and cause accidents, but they also thought it was a good idea to remove the wipers after the winter season passed. But Mary Anderson showed them. Her windshield wipers didn't have to be removed because they solved visibility problems all year around. They were easy to operate, and drivers no longer had to get out of their vehicles to clean windows.
By 1916 windshield wipers were standard on most vehicles. It was also a woman inventor who first patented the automatic windshield wiper in 1917 (Charlotte Bridgwood's "Storm Windshield Cleaner").
