Halloween

The word Halloween or Hallowe'en dates to about 1745 and is of Christian origin.The word "Halloween" means "hallowed evening" or "holy evening". It comes from a Scottish term for All Hallows' Eve (the evening before All Hallows' Day). The traditions and importance of Halloween vary greatly among countries that observe it. In Scotland and Ireland, traditional Halloween customs include children dressing up in costume going "guising", holding parties, while other practices in Ireland include lighting bonfires, and having firework displays. In Brittany children would set candles in skulls in graveyards. Who doesn't love Halloween it is filled with fun activities, games, costumes, haunted attractions, and candy. It is a day where people can be someone or something else. Halloween is for everyone there is no age limit. Halloween is also widely known for trick or treating in which children and adults go door to door in costume and say trick or treat and receive candy. The Alfa Romeo 4C

This is a gorgeous, mid-engined Italian exotic carved down to affordable scale. Powered by a 237-hp turbo four and weighing around 2650 pounds, its zip-quick power-to-weight ratio goes with its fast steering ratio and six-speed manual transmission’s close ratios. This car can be driven on intuition; it seems to anticipate road challenges. The seats are narrow, there’s almost no luggage room, and it’s so low it’s tough to get out of—and none of that matters when you get behind the wheel. A sports car with a carbon-fiber body, a mid-engine layout, two seats, a turbocharged four-cylinder and a dual-clutch gearbox, the 4C is as close to an exotic as you can get for about $55,000 base. The 4C began life as a concept car at the Geneva Motor Show in 2011, and it's translated almost perfectly to reality. It's low-slung and outrageously sexy. Alfa says it's inspired by its Sixties racing efforts and the 33 Stradale, but it bears more than a passing resemblance to Ferrari's Dino, too. Power comes from a direct-injected and turbocharged 1.7-liter four-cylinder engine, rated at 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. It's a raucous powerplant, better sounding outside than in, and there's just a touch of turbocharger lag. Each horsepower has only 10.3 pounds to accelerate, given the 4C's 2,495-pound curb weight, and acceleration is breathtaking, at 4.5 seconds to 60 mph. Top speed is set at 155 mph. The 4C will initially be sold at select Fiat and Maserati dealerships. Pricing will begin at $55,195 for the standard car; it gets standard manual air conditioning, power windows and locks, USB connectivity, cruise control, black cloth seats (red leather is an option). Options include painted brake calipers in black or red or yellow; a racing exhaust; a track package with sport suspension and a choice of wheels. Paint colors include variations of white, grey, black, and of course, red.

Detriot Electric SP01

Detroit Electric (1907–1939, revived in 2008) was an electric car produced by the Anderson Electric Car Company in Detroit, Michigan. The company built 13,000 electric cars from 1907 to 1939. The Detroit Electric brand was revived again in 2008 to produce modern all-electric cars by Detroit Electric Holding Ltd. of the Netherlands. Billed as the “world’s fastest production electric sports car,” the SP:01 has finally been revealed in production form, though only from the back. It is supposed to be on sale in North America, Asia and Europe starting in 2015. The company claims the car will have a 155 mph top speed and a 0-60 mph time of just 3.7 seconds. The design now uses fastback styling that is said to improve aerodynamics compared to the design of the prototype. Other improvements include a new casing around the battery that is supposed to improve torsional rigidity along with protecting the car from fires. Motivation will be provided by a mid-mounted electric motor generating 278 bhp (207 kW) and 206 lb-ft (280 Nm) of torque whereas the concept had 201 bhp (150 kW) and 166 lb-ft (225 Nm). It will be enough to cover the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) run in 3.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). It tips the scales at 1,175 kg (2,590 lbs) and comes with a 37 kWh battery pack granting a maximum range of 179 miles (288 km). As for production, the car was originally supposed to be produced in Detroit starting in 2013, but now Detroit Electric says that a new facility in the U.K. will build the car, starting before the end of this year.

Dodge Challenger Scat Pack

The historic Scat Pack name was resurrected for Challenger and Charger R/T models just last year and slapped on multistage Mopar performance packages for their shared 5.7-liter Hemi. Now the Scat Pack moniker essentially denotes a Challenger equipped like the cloth-seated R/T but powered by the bruising 6.4. As such, the R/T Scat Pack represents a huge pony-per-dollar proposition, starting at $39,890 with four-piston Brembos at all corners, a performance suspension, and beefy 20-by-9-inch wheels. If you want to go fast, there's certainly nothing wrong with the Dodge Challenger SRT8. With 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque for 2014, there's certainly not much to complain about. But what if you want something more aftermarket in flavor? There's no shortage of options, but while turning to the tuner world will make your car plenty fast, that extra power won't just shred rear tires, it'll torch your warranty, as well. That's where Dodge's Scat Pack comes in. The new-for-2015 interior décor is simply fantastic, being ergonomically sound and nicely retro without being kitschy. From the excellent seats to the conical instrument dials and a clear, crisp TFT screen, the interior leaps well past those of previous Challengers in terms of design and quality of materials. Of course, whichever engine you choose and which ever package you choose to modify it with, we're fairly certain the newest Scat Packs should provide plenty of fun for Mopar muscle enthusiasts. 

The Cadillac ATS

The Cadillac ATS is a four-door, five passenger compact luxury sedan designed, engineered, manufactured, and marketed by General Motors. Cadillac debuted the ATS to the press in the United States in January 2012, placed the ATS into production in July 2012 and began selling the ATS in the United States in August 2012 as a 2013 model. The 2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe debuted at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. The new two door Cadillac targets Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe and the BMW 4 Series. It went on sale in the summer of 2014 as the 2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe. There are two models available one will offer a 2.0L four-cylinder engine with 272 HP with 295 ft of torque. The other model will offer 3.6L engine with 321 HP with 275 ft of torque. Buyers have a choice of six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission, and the option of all wheel drive or standard rear wheel drive. The ATS is a compact five passenger sedan that comes in a 4 door or 2 door. The ATS has a curb weight of 3,315 to 3,461 lb (1,504 to 1,570 kg), depending on configuration, and a 51/49 front to rear weight percentage distribution. The hood, front suspension and cradle are made from aluminum. The front suspension is a MacPherson strut, double-pivot set up, using a pair of ball joints and lower control links. Third-generation Magnetic Ride Control active suspension is optional on the Premium RWD variant. A mechanical limited-slip differential is standard with the turbo-engined variant and is an available option on vehicles equipped with the V6. The ATS is available in either a rear- or all wheel drive layout, has three available engines and two available transmissions.

BMW-Toyota Sports Car

The growing BMW-Toyota tie-up, which began in late 2011. It's the sort of mutually beneficial relationship that is starting to become more mainstrem in the industry. The whisperings indicate that project will spawn both a replacement for the BMW Z4 and a long-awaited Toyota Supra successor based on the FT-1 Concept. Word is that the new cars will feature front-engine, all-wheel-drive layouts with plug-in hybrid technology. While Toyota will be responsible for making the new car go, BMW will handle the car's structure and body. Carbon-fiber reinforced plastic, high-strength steel and aluminum will all play major roles in the construction, according to AC, with a low curb weight being a high priority. Naturally aspirated, supercharged, and turbocharged versions are reportedly being considered, but atmospheric induction is the most likely because it probably will be paired with electric motors. Our source tells us Toyota has been working on an all-wheel-drive GT86 equipped with front in-wheel motors and that this setup could make it into the new BMW-Toyota sports car. BMW and Toyota products will have significantly different sheetmetal, unlike the 86/FR-S/BRZ.

The city bills itself as The Entertainment Capital of the World, and is famous for its mega casino–hotels and associated entertainment. The city's tolerance for various forms of adult entertainment earned it the title of Sin City, and has made Las Vegas a popular setting for films and television programs. The city is one of the top three leading destinations in the United States for conventions, business and meetings. Today, Las Vegas is one of the top tourist destinations in the world. The major attractions in Las Vegas are the casinos and the hotels, although in recent years other new attractions have begun to emerge. The center of the gambling and entertainment industry, however, is located on the Las Vegas Strip, outside the city limits in the surrounding unincorporated communities of Paradise and Winchester in Clark County. The largest and most notable casinos and buildings are located there. Las Vegas has 68 parks. The city owns the land for, but does not operate, 4 golf courses: Angel Park Golf Club, Desert Pines Golf Club, Durango Hills Golf Club and the Las Vegas Municipal Golf Course. It is also responsible for 123 playgrounds, 23 softball fields, 10 football fields, 44 soccer fields, 10 dog parks, 6 community centers, 4 senior centers, 109 skates parks, 6 swimming pools and more. With so many activities to choose from no wonder Las Vegas is a popular tourist attraction.

2015 Chevy Corvette Z06

Chevrolet engineering is working overtime to eliminate barriers to Corvette ownership. They've replaced its low, flexy, uncomfortable chairs with proper magnesium-framed buckets offering a choice of sport or competition levels of support. The Fisher-Price dash plastics have given way to rich, soft-touch, stitched materials wrapping practically every surface. Now with the introduction of the Z06, a single Corvette can meet the needs of less-than-identically matched couples. The Z06 will be offered with your choice of seven-speed manual or a spanking-new GM-built 8L90 eight-speed torque-converter automatic, in a removable-roof hatchback coupe or one-button convertible soft-top configuration.This convertible is 20 percent stiffer than the former fixed-roof Z06 was in torsion. Surely a bolted-in roof would make this new Z06 even more rigid. It is true that fastening the removable roof into the hatchback model improves its torsional rigidity by a further 20 percent, but because the new top's latches fasten rigidly in three axes, the bolted-in mounting solution used on the C5 or C6 Z06 wouldn't buy any more rigidity, and raising the soft-top contributes nothing.

The Ariel Atom

The Ariel Atom is a road legal high performance sports car made by the Ariel Motor Company based in Crewkerne, Somerset, England and under licence in North America by TMI Autotech, Inc. at Virginia International Raceway in Alton, Virginia. The Atom began as a student project by Coventry University transport design student, Niki Smart. Known then as the LSC (Lightweight Sports Car), it was developed at the university in 1996 with input and funding from various automotive industry members, including British Steel and TWR. Ariel Motor Company boss Simon Saunders was a senior lecturer whose responsibility for the project was primarily as financial manager and design critic for Smart, whom he described as "The best all-round design student I've ever seen." The car was first shown publicly at the British International Motor Show at the NEC in Birmingham in October 1996. There have been five Ariel Atom incarnations to date: Ariel Atom, Ariel Atom 2, Ariel Atom 3 (including the Ariel Atom 3 Mugen Limited Edition - only 10 made,) Ariel Atom 3.5 and Ariel Atom 500 V8 Limited Edition (only 25 to be made). The current models are the Ariel Atom 3.5, the more powerful 3.5R and the limited production Ariel Atom 500 V8 with a 500 bhp (373 kW; 507 PS) V8 engine. The Ariel Atom is unusual in that it is exoskeletal — the chassis is prominently visible from the outside — and therefore lacks a roof, windows and other features normally found on road cars although a small windscreen is available as an optional extra. The chassis design leads to a relatively high drag coefficient of 0.40 in comparison to more aerodynamic road cars. 

The Ferrari F12 berlinetta

The Ferrari F12 berlinetta (also unofficially referred to as the F12 Berlinetta or the F12) is a front mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive grand tourer produced by Italian sports car manufacturer Ferrari. The F12 was introduced in 2012 at the Geneva Motor Show. The naturally aspirated 6.3 litre Ferrari V12 engine in the F12 berlinetta has won the International Engine of the Year Awards 2013 in the Best Performance category and Best Engine above 4.0 litres. The F12 berlinetta was named "The Super car of the Year  2012" by car magazine Top Gear. The body of the F12 berlinetta is designed by the Ferrari Styling Centre and Pininfarina, and shares some styling elements with other recent Ferrari models. This includes a front grille similar to the FF and headlights shared with the FF and 458 Italia. The interior, based on the FF, features new "Frau leather" upholstery with aluminium, Alutex, and carbon fibre trim, and has increased luggage space compared to the 599. The body computer system is developed by Magneti Marelli Automotive Lighting. Ferrari reports that the F12 berlinetta is capable of lapping the Fiorano test circuit in 1 minute, 23 seconds; 3.0 seconds slower than La Ferrari, 1.0 second faster than the 599 GTO, 2.0 seconds faster than the Enzo Ferrari, 2.0 seconds faster than the 458 Italia, 2.0 seconds faster than the 430 Scuderia and 3.5 seconds faster than the 599 GTB.

Jeep Wrangler Aluminum Body

 The next-generation Jeep Wrangler might have an aluminum body, instead of steel, and be assembled somewhere other than Toledo, Ohio, where its roots go back more than 70 years to the first Willys MB was made for the U.S. Army.  According to the latest

pronouncements from Fiat Chrysler chief Sergio Marchionne, the shift to an aluminum  Wrangler would likely mean moving production out of Toledo. "If the solution is aluminum," Marchionne told Automotive News, "then I think unfortunately Toledo is the wrong place, the wrong setup to try and build a Wrangler, because it requires a complete reconfiguring of the assets that would be cost-prohibitive." The next Wrangler, due in 2017, would benefit from an aluminum body as Chrysler works to improve the fuel economy of all its vehicles. The U.S. government is requiring automakers to reach a fleet average of 56.5 miles per gallon by 2025. "We need to downsize the engines ... and then increase the capabilities by putting turbos in," Marchionne said. "This requires a complete rethink of the architecture, and before we start committing capital to particular places we need to make sure that we don't spend an inordinate amount of money trying to get it done." As for a suitable location for the aluminum Wrangler, Chrysler plants in Mexico and Canada seem to be out of the question because Marchionne said he wants to preserve Wrangler's heritage as an American vehicle.

Mercedes GT AMG

The Mercedes GT AMG, internally referred to as C190, will be built on a front-mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive platform that is derived from the underpinnings of the SLS. Appearance-wise, not only will the GT borrow from the SLS, but it will take cues from the latest trends in Mercedes design . The grille, the vents, and the overall shape are similar of the SLS’s; the lower air intakes are shaped much like those fitted to the E63 AMG; and the LED light signature and character lines on the door panels share a familial resemblance to what’s been pioneered by the S-class. AMG will use a significant amount of high-strength steel and aluminum to reach the GT's target weight of around 3300 pounds.  In an effort to increase efficiency, Mercedes will fit the GT with AMG’s new 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8, which will produce roughly 500 horsepower. It’s possible a detuned model could be offered as an entry-level option, and Mercedes giving the GT the Black Series treatment and 600 horses is more likely than not. The GT AMG will be fitted with a seven-speed automatic. Competing with the GT AMG wil be the Aston Martin V8 Vantage, Audi R8, Jaguar F-type, Maserati GranTurismo, Porsche 911.  The Mercedes-Benz GT AMG likely will bow next fall, arriving on showroom floors in 2015 as a 2016 model. Pricing will start at around $120,000. 

Bentley Mulsanne

  Bentley has brought back the Mulsanne nameplate that was last used in 1992, and this model replaces the Bentley Arnage. The new Mulsanne was unveiled at the 2009 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, on 16 August 2009. The Bentley Mulsanne is a luxury car produced by Bentley Motors Limited in the United Kingdom.The car is named after the Mulsanne Straight of the Le Mans racing circuit, Bentley cars having won five victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the past. Features include stainless steel knobs on the dashboard that control the vent plungers are electronic micro switches that control electric servos. The feedback remains that of a metal rod to control the damper. Customers have a choice of 114 paint colors, 21 carpet colors, nine wood veneers, and 24 interior leather hides, as well as specify a custom color scheme. The rear seating area may be configured to accommodate either 2 or 3 passengers. Comfort Specification includes new comfort headrests with manually adjustable wings for lateral support, new footrests with trimmed in flat-cut cabin carpet and hide to match each individual vehicle, fine duck down filled loose cushions seat, new rear door armrest storage compartment as standard. Mulsanne Executive

Interior Concept is a version of Mulsanne demonstrating a new multimedia connectivity concept designed for executives. It included 2 electric-powered, foldable wood veneer picnic tables in the rear cabin, each with Apple iPad and Apple Bluetooth keyboards; Apple Mac Mini stored in boot compartment, roof console with 15.6 in (40 cm) High Definition LED drop down monitor, illuminated rear center console fitted with twin individual armrests, rear console with Apple iPod (control panel), two cup holders, tissue box and large stowage area; Apple iPod controls (Rear Seat Entertainment (RSE) and audio system, Apple Media Center, plays music and access to internet), 2 USB connectors provided for the Apple system and one Apple interface connector for the iPod.

2015 Scion FR-S

Scions goal for the FR-S is to achieve "Pure Balance" which is demonstrated by the cars 

53:47 front to rear weight ratio and low center gravity. It has an exclusive flat-four boxer 

 engine which is derived from Suburu. Associate Japenese automaker Suburu was heavily 

involved in the design and development of the FR-S, even designing their own version of 

the car under the byname of  Suburu BRZ. This shared 2.0 liter engine utilizes 

both direct and port injection , and is able to squeeze out 200 horsepower and 151 lb-ft of 

torque. The power is sent through the rear wheels via six speed manual or a six speed 

automatic transmission. it features steering wheel mounted paddle shifters and rev- 

matching. Scion went to great lengths to keep the FR-S as light as 

possible, which explains why the automaker opted for a traditional trunk rather than a 

heavier hatchback. The FR-S also comes equipped with an aluminum hood and a sunroof 

isn't offered. The FR-S rolls on lightweight 17-inch wheels wrapped in Michelin Primacy HP 

tires used on Toyota's hybrids in Japan for a balanced handling feel. The car comes with an 

array of electronic driver aids, including traction control, a stability control system, ABS, and 

electronic brake-force distribution (EBD) with Brake Assist.There are also passive safety 

features such as front and side airbags for the driver and passenger, along with 

side curtain airbags for all four passengers. There is also a tire-pressure monitoring system 

and a start/stop system for saving gas.
