The waiting for customers and dealers eager for Alfa Romeo's return to the U.S. will continue at least into the middle of next year.
A Fiat spokesman said Tuesday that the introduction of the Alfa Romeo 4C sports car in the U.S. will be delayed until the second quarter of 2014.
In January, Fiat and Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne said the Fiat brand that many baby boomers associate with the 1969 movie "The Graduate" would return to the U.S. this year with a lightweight, sexy two-seat roadster called the 4C.
